1271 Romney

Project: 1271 Romney
Address: 1271 Romney, Bloomfield Township, MI
Type: Single Family Home
Description: 6,477 square foot French Country home with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms on a one acre lot in Bloomfield Hills. This home included Structural Insulated Panels, Insulating Concrete Forms, Geothermal heating and cooling and received an Energy Star 5 star plus certification.

Collens Residence

Project: Accessible Bedroom and Bathroom addition
Address: 841 W. Lewiston, Ferndale, MI
Type: Addition
Description: Create a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor level. Project design included unique design to preserve a mature tree and Green building materials such as Structural Insulated Panels. Reclaimed brick was also used to match the existing brick and blend the addition in with the existing home.

Kirtland Residence

Project: Cottage addition and alteration
Address: Port Austin, MI
Type: Architecture
Description: Create a 1000 square foot addition to a 100 year old cottage on Lake Huron matching the character and proportion of the existing home. Addition included a master suite with bath, new kitchen, new dining room, powder room, storage, covered porch and home office. The existing cottage was remodeled and added energy efficient updates such as insulation and new windows.

Balousek Residence

Project: Home Addition and Alteration
Address: Berkeley, MI
Type: Architecture
Description: Create a 1200 square foot addition to and remodel an existing bungalow in Berkeley, MI. Modern design elements blended with existing home to maximize space and openness between existing spaces. Addition included a master suite with bath, formal dining room, fireplace niche off of existing living room, covered porch, new large kitchen, upper level patio and a new upper level bedroom. Features include Kalwall translucent wall panels which provide insulated energy efficient daylighting, recyclable metal exterior cladding, custom steel and glass interior staircase, clerestory windows to provide passive ventilation in summer, and a lightwell to bring light into interior spaces.

Sinnott Residence

Project: Single Family Home
Address: Trout Lake, MI
Type: Architecture
Description: 2400 square foot Chalet style home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths on a waterfront wooded lot on Big Trout Lake in Michigan Upper Peninsula. Primary features of this home include a pine paneled cathedral ceiling over the living and dining areas, walk out basement, 3 tier deck, a large master suite with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and patio overlooking the lake.
